Hamedan city distressed regions include more than 35 percent of city area, and more than 50 percent of Hamedan inhabitants live in these regions. Due to the multiple economic, cultural, and social destructive influences of these regions on their inhabitants, they are considered as high priority regions. Off-site construction methods have been proposed as an approach for sustainable construction with minimum negative environmental effects and high potential to adapt with different architectural styles. These methods can be used as a strategy for confronting with time, cost, and quality challenges of rehabilitation and renovation projects in distressed urban areas. This research that has been done with deductive and quantitative approach is trying to use descriptive-analytic methods, and inferential evaluation of field data, in order to study the influence of training and informing activities on the tendency of investors for using these methods. The results show that training and informing activities subsequently have 56 and 65 percent impact on the decision and tendency of investors in distressed urban area and other investors for using off-site construction methods, and this impact on investors with more financial resources is higher than others. Furthermore, findings reflect this reality that more active investors in urban distressed areas have more tendencies to use these methods. Research findings can have influential impact on efficiency and effectiveness of promotional activities in the realm of urban policy making.
