Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a nonparametric method in operations research and economics for the estimation of production frontiers. After the brief review of existing literature, as well as the principle of dead, this article evaluates the efficiency of 36 sectors of Mashhad Municipalities via the approach of DEA approach in constant return to scale and input-oriented and output- oriented models. Input and output data on the base of current information in municipal has got from sectors managers. The result shows that in both of oriented, 55 percent of sectors are efficient and more frequencies of them for pear group are: DMU14 and DMU20: 13 times DMU23 and DMU31: 8 times
