Referring to past urban traditions in modern era (Neo-Traditional), the development of networks and the creation of travel destinations near residents' living areas have been defined as traffic management solutions and improvements in life quality. Here, the development of Neo-Traditional area has been simulated by applying traffic scenarios and models to create conditions and characteristics. The ultimate goal is to improve residents' quality of life by enhancing transportation indicators. Transportation models are constructed for the road network of Mashhad. Three scenarios (traffic calming, per capita land use development, green traffic islands) related to the establishment of Neo-Traditional areas are defined, and models are executed in VISSUM software to analyze the results. Travel time, V-Km traveled, CO emissions, and fuel consumption are used for result analysis. According to the results, Neo-Traditional development in some scenarios leads to a decline in transportation indicators. It is evident that traffic flow calming and eliminating through traffic from local streets will reduce traffic congestion and increase residents' inclination to use cars. Neo-Traditional is a developmental paradigm, and by emphasizing and interpreting it in human societies over time, gradual cultural reform and increased citizen inclination towards clean transportation methods can be achieved. Increasing the land use of commercial, educational, and recreational areas in selected zones leads to reduced vehicle travel time, indicating a reduction in car travel duration and a shift of some trips to clean modes such as walking and cycling. Neo-Traditional development in areas requires accuracy, further examination, and analysis due to their close association with traffic parameters
