Abstract

The occurrence of natural disasters such as earthquakes is unpredictable and undeniable. One of the most important measures when these disasters occur is efficient and effective crisis management. Therefore, the aim of this research is to design a local model of effective human factors in crisis management in order to increase resilience and reduce stress during an earthquake in Tehran metropolis. The present research was conducted qualitatively with thematic analysis approach. In the current research, by reviewing and revising the themes and carrying out various classifications, the researcher finally reached a network of themes including the main theme of effective human factors in crisis management, 23 organizing themes and 8 comprehensive themes, which are specified in Figure 3. Among the most effective human factors in crisis management are having skills and experience, In the current research, by reviewing and revising the themes and carrying out various classifications, the researcher finally reached a network of themes including the main theme of effective human factors in crisis management, 23 organizing themes and 8 comprehensive themes, which are specified in Figure 3. Among the most effective human factors in crisis management are having skills and experience, identifying and solving obstacles, perception and understanding, and endurance and adaptability. These themes were repeated many times in the interviews. With skills and experience, people respond better and faster to necessary situations and conditions. This factor itself can also help identify and solve obstacles. In fact, identifying and solving obstacles also helps to gain experience and skills, and these two influence each other.
