Abstract
Neighborhoods have had a central position in the analysis and planning of urban spaces for a long time. Usually, since the emergence of neighborhood as a key concept in social science literature, its concept is known as a kind of spatial container. Therefore, neighborhood is a geographical and social concept. On the other hand, with the emergence of information and communication technology and the expression of the concept of network society and flow space by Emmanuel Castells, the concept of neighborhood and its evolution has also undergone changes. So that, in the age of information, the emerging applications of information and communication technology have highlighted the ability to revive the role of the neighborhood. In this regard, big-data and open-data, as one of the concepts derived from the smart city, doubles the importance and role of neighborhood and neighborhood-oriented management. Based on this, the aim of the present research is to present and explain the model of neighborhood management based on network society in Iranian cities. The method of this research is qualitative, as categories and patterns have been identified by systematic review and review of related sources, and the main tool of data collection in this method is also library studies. The findings of the research show that in line with the new models of neighborhood management in the urban planning system of Iran, there are 4 web-based models with focal points and functional radius of mosque, school and educational centers, commercial centers and neighborhood parks and 4 neighborhood management models can be presented and explained in terms of structure.
